Just want to know if anyone has found a top saw that has as much power and is as well balanced an MS 200t. We have a 200t and have had a lot of problems with it and the service in our area sucks. We also have a Jonsered 2139 but do not like the way its balanced. I was looking at a t435 husky but it's a redmax with orange plastic and I don't know much about redmax saws. Any thoughts?

redmax stuff is top notch.

200t is hard to beat.I haven't tried the t435 but I have been meaning to.

I think there is a YouTube video of the redmax version of the t435.I think the call it the 3500 or something

I run the 338XPT Cali model and a 334T. Lately I have a friend's 020T that he left with me. The 020t (200T) would be my choice on removals just because it revs high and is gutsy. I will robably have to get a 200T because of this because there is a noticible difference between it and my Husky climbers.

200t for me, tried most of the others, good saws, just not quite the same tho.

But whats wrong with your 200t that has you looking outside the reservation?
Post the problems either here or in the chainsaw forum, and you may well get it running just right and have no reason to look elsewhere.

My partner, and climber was strictly a still guy. But I talked him into a echo 340 I think. Not the grey colored ones you see. This one is red with the black handle. Might be the best top handle Ive ever used. It is every bit as good as the 200t. It is about 200 cheaper, but a commercial saw. My saw shop has never let me down, they sell stihl husky, and echo. They recommended that saw to us,and glad they did!

I've been running the T435, I think it is an awesome saw.

I also have a 338XPT and the T435 is way lighter and just feels better in my hands, plus the dealer gave us a good deal on the T435, $275 which is less than half the price of a 200T.

One of the guys I work with also has a T435, he dropped it about 60 ft out of a tree the other day and all it did was bend the bar!

I have run 340/341 Echo's because thats what the boss bought and IMO they suck.
They have no power, not well balanced, get shocked by the uncovered spark plug all the time, and ours always vapor lock on the hotter days.

Also the muffler guards would fall off alot and the bottom rubber mount for the side handle breaks alot.

So IMO the T435 is the best bang for the buck, lightweight, well balanced, and good power also.

You must have better luck with the Echo top handled saws then we did. Would not rate them any better than the 192 based upon our experience. They do sell them as commercial/pro saws.. they are reliable, good saws.. but not nearly the guts of the 200T in what our experience was.

Yeah so far so good. The only saw we have had yet in a tree than runs the same at any angle direction or whatever. We have ms 200s at work they come along way i like em. All the early ones, and the huskies we had carb problems all the time. I know that was when they were changes more carbs for epa that probably had something to do with it. The new 200s seem good. Havent run the new huskies. All I know is my buddy grew up in a family of loggers, that run nothing but stihl. They dont wanna run anything else. Hes run all the top saw, and hes running the echo now. My shop pushes stihl brand the most. They recommend we try the echo. I have another tree buddy that sold his huskies, and stihl top saw. He wont climb the tree with anything but the echo.

Our 200t has had and still is having carb problems. Pretty sure the zama cerb doesn't like ethonal. But all of our other saws have walbro carbs and they run great on 10% ethonal gas. other than that the 200t is not very durable also we had some problems with the muffler. But i just ordered echo's new top saw the cs-360t. I took a chance and ordered it without gettin to hold it or use it first. but it is cheap compared to a 200t so if the echo doesn't work out i will try a t435. the echo will be here wendesday.
