Got a Rope Boss folding throwline cube, big prpblem though

Got one of those folding throwline cubes. I have to admit it took me a bit to figure out that you must twist it to open it up / expand it. Genius design though and when it's fully folded it's very compact.

Went to put my Dynaglide in it and was having an interference problem. Anybody ever see anything like this? What should I do??
