I looked it up and it is indeed the bar for the depth limiter: 3003 002 9421.
It has a third hole in the middle of it also. I haven't paid much attention to it but have noticed chips collecting in them in bigger wood.

It is 20.4 lbs with 20' b/c and fluids topped off. (24oz gas/12oz oil) Powerhead only is supposed to be 14.6 lbs.
