P85 ran like a top!!!!.... for three to four minutes.. second start.. not so good. Condenser eh.. points eh. My condenser spare that I have doesn't have a long enough lead... so as a final option. maybe I could splice something up. If anybody has anything let me know.

turns out the points were super tight and funky... got a lesson and found a great local resource.. will let you all know how it goes.. then to the chips!!!

running again

same shi.... different day. fired up again after previous dying.. ran great for a little... then conked again.. will look at the kill switch and see whats up with that. i see that this thing had a multi wound death when they shipped it off... coil.. dirty everything.. maybe the switch. runs and sounds great when it does. yeah... got a hot tip too.. suprised no one mentions this EVER on this site.. but the motorcycle guy down the street has a machine that tests coils. lets see if RD so and so was fibbin'.....hehe that ones for PEST

yeah.. looking like the overall ignition in this badboy either way was frigged right up to no end...

what i have learned though is how some people do a guess diagnosis and some use machines to verify that. and also how some people may say whatever to get you to give up a saw...

i mean come on.. its cool.. but its not that great (may say different when it runs)

got a butt load of small parts for these recently.. will look into the switch too...

the old dude around the corner with the trailers of stuff.. and a bizillion years of experience.. that was worth it all.... so p85 or no p85

i figured i'd ask.. the ccs were in the ballpark for what i'm looking to do. well saves me on shipping from the UK.. so i guess that worked out.

going to stick more with the jred and older husky.... unless a solo twin 611 shows up... oh i don't know what i'm talking about.. but at least i'm enthusiastic
