Say it all together fast, then say it with a pause after handi. . . . One things for sure, you stick this to your turtle, you'll get the best parking spot at the landing.

:hmm3grin2orange:

It should hold up only real differance is the plate riveted inside the top for reinforcement to meet OSHA standards. Some people dont like the new suspension but I think you can track down old style that fits.

I'm not a fan of the wratchet suspension...so i had them swap it out before i ever got it..it now has the staz-on suspension that also will fit the Mac-t's i believe...i like it.

I thought it was going to be a forestry plastic system with do hicky majiggies. Well now ya got that piece of PNW attire. Slowp should be happy cause natural aluminum goes with most logging colors and seasons.

LOL,,, Good one,,,,, CK!!!!!! tried to rep ya but I'm Toast!!!!!

The good thing about plastic is that it won't dent when you do a modified rigging fit and throw the hat from your head to the ground right straight down to your feet. That tends to dent the metal ones. The loggers here said that the state cracked down and started fining them for each dent in their hat. So we don't see any bent brims or beat up hats anymore. It came to me that my old one has the clip things for holding a headlamp on and when you play them to impress your coworkers, they make a plinkie plinkie sound.

That doesn't seem right...on so many levels.

Do they have bad language police and didn't finish your vegetables enforcement also?

.

Huh? We have the Warshington State Dept. of Labor and Industries logging safety guys who show up and write tickets for things like dents in hard hats, no first aid cards, etc. They'll innundate your area with inspections if there is a fatality. This happened during the 80s here when 8 loggers were killed in a couple of months here. Inspections and fines were common. One guy told me the going rate (fine) for each dent in a hard hat was $150. I've not heard of any inspections lately here but one inspector left his card on the door of a shovel and the next day the chaser was wearing an orange vest and chaps, the stretcher was dug out from the bottom of the crummy, etc.

stihl helmet with face guard?

Whatta you guys thisnk of the Stihl orange hat with face shield and ear plugs on it? I think I want to get one just cause it seems like a good idea for safety. I saw one for 54.00. Is that a good price? Is it a good safety device?

Thank you, will do. I will eventually post sum pics.. I have a 3 foot hackberry to buck/mill up on a buddy's place, will get sum pics. I WILL be using safety gear. me wanna have fun cut wood be safe long time:biggrinbounce2: :biggrinbounce2: :chainsawguy: :biggrinbounce2:

I don't know that anybody around here has one...ive never seen anybody with one..maybe some of the old coal miners might have one..some loggers don't even wear hard hats!!:monkey:

Yep, I'm the only one in our crew that owns a helmet (I bought it second hand off a West-Penn guy for a pop).
