We can finally get rid of the ratty old ones we've been using this past year. Got 18 Hi-vis orange ones for workin' and 6 grey's for estimates. Spent $220 all told. Methinks I did pretty good.

Something must be goofed with my monitor, i can't even see the first one and can barely read the second one.

Looks good. And less than 10 bucks ea sounds pretty good too.

As soon as my logo comes back from the graphic artist I'll be putting in a shirt order too. Planning on getting collars on the estimate shirts tho.

Where'd you get 'em?

Nice Blakes. I think you did really good for $220, granted they are a simple design, but shirts ain't cheap. I am currently working on some for my biz and am finding that out.

I was thinking about the orange like you have for working/deer hunting but can't make up my mind yet. I always wore my dad's old Asplundh shirts for deer hunting, t's and long sleeve t's, they were nice. I still have some, just don't fit anymore.

Simple and straight forward, nice. We wear t-shirts on the job with a big logo on the back, name on the front. For estimates I had a couple made up with just the logo and name on the front. Pictured. (They fit me better)

I found out a week or two back that my girl's friend does screen printing. We had our previous one's done with the iron on style which I don't much care for. I like the simple design of it, with our logo on the front and a simple knot on the back plus our "slogan" generally raises an eyebrow or two. Gives me a conversational foot in the door to increase my market share as the only local company who spikeless prunes. As far as the Hi-vis colors, I had 2 choices and I hate the yellow/green ones, so I went orange. I'd rather have them a company color but I'm covering my ass in case BCMA spots us on the job.

If I ever see BCMA with his poparazi BS I'm going to uncover my azz real quick. Hopefully break his camera lense in the process.

I think you made your stance on that subject very clear, nails, lol. In all seriousness, it's so hard for a tree guy to get anything done and be in complete compliance with osha regs the hi-vis shirts were a no brainer for me. They cost as much as a regular shirt and put us 1 step closer to complete compliance. ( also known as one less fine I'll get if I'm ever inspected, lol ) Makes us one out of 4 in this area that wear 'em. Makes us stand out as a bit more professional in John Q's eye.

I just used my camera phone so they're not very high quality but they're there, I swear it.

You can get one more for the days you have to spike... "bucket trucks are for sissies" ?????????

I can see where you want to make sure the vt is set after a long ascent before leaning back on it though.

The other thing I noticed is I believe what they call the "sit back" factor, where I have to actually go a little past exactly where I want to be cutting in order to settle in just right. Does this sound right or am I maybe doing something wrong??

You're right MDS. I use a Schwabisch because it pretty much always stays set and uniform. You'll need to tweak the length and wraps/braids you take on the VT to maximize setting and minimize sitback. It's a tweakers hitch.
