That extrusion looks like it is 2 mm thick which is a bit thin for mill rails. Might be alright for a small mill/saw.
The 0.33" slot would suit a 8mm diam bolt but the T- part of the slot would be too small to fit the head of the bolt.

It was, in fact, 2mm thick. Good eye. I might try it and see if it will work - it's inexpensive enough that if not, it's no biggie. I'll post back when I find out.

Not really - I opened it up in Photoshop and made some scaled measurements (relative to the known external dimensions) using the Select tool
