Grandfathers saw Husqvarna 42

They're good saws but getting old and hard to find parts for, I dont think there's any aftermarket parts for it.
Post up some pics of the cylinder, they can be sand paper honed and reused most of the time, that way all you need is a piston.
I cant help you out with parts, my uncle has a 42 special but he loves that saw and it's not going anywhere.

If you can't fix that cylinder i have one.A man gave me a 42 that needed new rings.Bottom line is i managed to break a carb screw off in it.I have since removed the broker screw.I wanted to put a 242 cylinder on it but the only ones i found were in ITALY and about 250.00.So me being the tight wad that i am,i scrounged up a 42 cylinder instead.Oh and i found bearings and seals for it as well.
