I bought a 6" gravely chipper from a local town. The original motor was blown so they scraped it. I got a used 25hp Kohler that I am going to put on the chipper . The motor isn't installed yet but I tried to turn the belt pulley on the flywheel over by hand and it won't budge. Today I put a pipe wrench on it and tried to turn it again and it won't budge at all. Is it possible for the flywheel to be seized up? The flywheel lock pin is hanging from chain on the back of the chipper so I know that isn't in, but I also don't see where the lock pin would go either. Could the bearings be frozen or maybe some wood stuck in the chipper locking the flywheel up? I hope the bearings aren't the issue.
