Earlier this season I was going to purchase the modular containment system. Total price from Sherrill and other suppliers was 300.00 each. I wanted two sets, so 600.00 would be the cost. They also wanted almost an additional 300.00 to ship them due to "oversized freight costs". Total bill would have been almost 900.00

Had some time on my hands and with some suggestions from a friend, I decided to make my own. Used chain link fence top rails and gate corners along with other fence material. I had the tarps custom made with heavy material which ended up being most of the cost. If I had it to do over again, I would have made the tarps myself.
I have about 350.00 in the project.

Those look very nice and more importantly, professional. Get your logo slapped as big as you can on the outside facing side to get your name out there a little more.

I am thinking about making a set myself. I plan on taking 1" sq tube for the frame and mesh tarp from NT for the screen part. I am going to weld the tube corners and figure on some sort of hinge with a removable pin. Nice job on the fab very clean.

That is "SLICK AS ****"

I looked at the sherrill ones the last time I was at Vemeer also.Just didn;t look like they were worth 3 bills IMO.
I like your thinking .
I wonder how some PVC frames with some lighter mesh tarp material would work?

I have 3 sheets of 3/8 plywood, usually propped up with the pitchfork. Cost about $30. Adaptable to any situation.

I'd paint them, but they keep getting stolen by the tree crews or the planting crew so not worth the effort.

The containment systems is more professional looking? Probably, but IMHO an overrated consideration.

My el cheapo containment fence Made it out of 1/2 in pvc and the fabric is from a silt fence, which is what I previously used.
Made them this weekend in about 4 hours and spent about 50bucks for everything.
