Grinder wheel

I just received a new grinder wheel. They sent me a 3.2mm thick wheel, the wheel I have on now is 4.8mm. Should I order another wheel or will the smaller width be ok? I’m using 3/8s .050 gauge full chisel

You have the wrong wheel. 3.2mm (1/8”) is for .325 and 3/8 lo pro chain. You need a 4.8mm (3/16”) wheel for full sized 3/8 chain. Using the smaller wheel won’t grind the right profile into the cutter.
