Grinding a 372 xp crank case to fit a jonsred 2172

Hello everyone! I’ve got a 2172 that ate the clutch side bearing and damaged the bearing pocket I the case. It’s super hard to find a jred case to fit the 2172 let alone a husky one. So I was wondering g if you can grind down the xp case to work with the x torque cylinder? I am Pretty handy with a foredoom so I’m not worried about grinding it.
