Please tell me you are not going to attempt that with a FOX grinder!! You need to negotiate in a few years worth of green fees:cheers::cheers:

I had the same deal last month only it was 400 stumps for a golf course. I came in at around $26K. I think I bid like $80 a stump to grind(most had to be flush cut and some didn't have to be ground). I lost the bid to someone who did it for $12K, less than half of my bid. I'm sorry but I am not going to spend a month grinding stumps (which I hate to do anyway) for $12k. Good luck but I think you are overbidding if you are trying to price this one to do it.
Guys that want to grind huge stumps for $30 a pop won't be in business long. Sometimes people only factor in their time on the job without considering the wear and tear to their equipment. Then when they face a bill for 2 to 4 grand for major repairs they wonder why they don't have the funds to pay it. Same guys have trouble balancing a checkbook. I say let them win the bid,it will only put him out of business quicker. Had you rather work twice as much for half the pay or half as much for twice the pay? i know what i would choose!

That's exactly what I thought about the situation. If the guy's stumper goes down (which is very likely with that many stumps) and he has to make one major repair that is going to take a serious chunk out of his profit.
