Now that I own a Silvey Swing arm I would like a little input on the types of grinding wheels . In the Madsens catalog there are a few that have caught my attention.
#M21 - Grey - vitrified - soft - dresses easily - forgiving - removes dull material quickly - doesn't hold its shape as well as some of the harder wheels
#M47 - salmon colored - vitrified - medium hard - good tooth finish - keeps shape well - doesn't remove dull material as fast as softer wheels
#M99 - blue - vitrified - hard - our only stone with ceramic grain blended in - lasts longer than the other wheels - keeps shape well - a treat to use

Also has anyone used the Depth Gauge, Gullet and Heel Grinder by Silvey. AKA HDG-6 There seems to be a void in my shop area and I think it might fit in.
Chain grinders are like shotguns and sheep "they never like to be alone"
