Nice stuff Andy. I envy your shed and energy both.

I look forward to coming out and seeing your place again. Idyllic, with a quiet lake thrown in for good measure.

Good job as always Andy, nice place you got there. I know it doesn't look that way by accident. ;)

Wish I had your energy right now seems like the harder I work the farther behind I'm getting :bang: guess that's the way it is around spring time though.

Out’a bullets but I bet you already knew that :chainsaw:

I still enjoy it

Great looking place. Do you have ways of getting easy access to the wood?

I'm kinda in the same boat. Usually don't fill the shed until September, but had so much blowdown I was running out of places to stack it. I ended up selling a few cord as I really hate to see it rot. The Alder won't last much more than a couple of years unless its completely unexposed.
I've got most everything done on my place that I can get to. Still some wood down on the road into the upper acerage.

It's a lot of work but I have to admit I really enjoy being out doing it. Especially in the late winter as the day starts to wind down. Kind of neat to see everything coming back to life. The first trilliums of the spring are a talk about event down here.

I do have to fill my Mom's woodshed but I'm waiting her out to make her use up some of the older wood in there. She's 78 and doesn't pay a whole lot of attention to what I want her to use first.

Nice wood shed Lake...what do yah have tied up in it ($$)? Livewire is right...it costs a lot of money to view this site! Still cheaper than my motorcycle hobby (I think). :hmm3grin2orange:

About $300.. but most of that was the bolts, the roofing and the original part made of LP22 treated timber. The roofing ply was free - Ninten-do (it's a banned word if I don't break it??) Mahogany plywood from video game palletes, the extension framing was all "free" Doug Fir, the floor is free railway ties with 2x12 DF spaced 1 inch for air... The chain link was free... the pier blocks were free... the labor was priceless:)

It holds just over 8 cords...

I get all this free stuff 'cos I'm a frigging pack rat. I see it, I take it, and then I store it, sometimes for years... The plywood I've had for 15 years, but I did have 172 sheets of it.. only 10 left!!! Heck of a lot of that ply in everything I build..

That's a beautiful place you've got there, Lake. I've been all over the country except for the Northwest. Those pictures you just posted make me want to hurry up and get up there. Thanks for sharing...

 Real Fine Workmanship !!!

I bet it smells real fresh there too.

Alright.
You gave us the plans for a muffler mod,
now can we get the plans for the wood shed ??

I have been hoarding plywood, 2x4's and 2x10's for a few weeks now since i poured my new concrete stamped porch. Now, thanks to Andy, I think I might have a use for them. I been looking at building a woodshed, and that shed looks nice!
