I'm harvesting 40 acres of cypress and tupelo. Clear cutting about 25 acres and select cutting about 15. I'm probably going to have to leave my career in the oil and gas industry due to economic downturn and I think I can sell saplings (if that's the correct term) or young trees. I have white oak, bald cypress, Tupelo Gum, Hackberry, Silver Maple, etc. I have 90 acres total. Plan is to also dig a 10 acre pond about 20 feet deep in the center to provide irrigation if needed. Otherwise, it'll have plenty stocked fish for our enjoyment. I really don't know where to begin, other than my thoughts. Thanks in advance for any advice or guidance.

Another casualty of the ongoing petroleum war.Sorry to hear about your misfortune. When i saw a post including cypress and Tupelo, figured it had to be in louisiana .Bringing an Alaskian sawmill back to life after setting idle for a few years .Stihl 066 magnum and granberg setup.Changed the plug and sparks up very well.Need to come up with a new chain .I think this thing will be an angry woodpecker when it's completed.Been involved with woodworking for a while but never involved with chainsaws and such.Cant wait to get this thing dusty.Oh yea i was in houston for the last few years doing electronics repair for downhole tools.Same situation with me the golden goose ain't layin no more.
