I am a STIHL and HUSQVARNA man, I just bought a polesaw, bit it is an ECHO ppt261. I did alot of shopping around at work we have several STIHL ht 75 great saws. I have one friend who has ECHO I have used in the past, loved it. I picked up sevaral 326 p5 models, first thing from Husqvarna I will say a dissapontment. It feels really of balance,it does not telescope, and to me not being able to retract it makes it worthless, in my opinion Stihl HT75 and ECHO our the best, the 326 is a great enginge, but I just dont like the way it is built. If it would telescope it would be great. We now have some four mix Stihl polesaws at work,I have never used it yet but nobody likes it yet they prefer HT 75 over 4 mix

there are 2 husky pole pruners.....the p4 does not extend the p5 goes to about 16ft/ 2 piece shaft, but again it is a fixed shaft that does not extend. i've owned 2 power pruners/ echo's and we have 2 stihl ht75's at work. on all 4 that i've used the bushings on the shafts always go bad.....it's just the nature of the beast on extendable shaft power pruners. from what i was told husky decided not to make it extend so they would not have the bushing issue's the others have.

my dealer has some on order , so i'd like to check them out. but i agree the nonextending feature is a definite draw back in my book.

I dunno about the HT75, but I do know and own a HT101.

I paid 609 bucks for it out the door, and it has paid for itself at least 2 times since i bought it around a month ago.

It flat out rocks, its a 4 stroke, lots of torque, it will pull the 14" bar very well. It isnt as fast as an MS200 but it saves some major time and is worth every dime i paid for it.

So if you can get the Ht101, then I am recommending it!:)

i just looked at stihl's site and it looks like the ht75 is no more.....the ht101 is the new replacement model. thanks for the heads up.
