Looked them up and saw a couple of their videos, those guys need to learn how to pull over those trunk pieces. If my guys yanked and bounced on the rope like that without keeping the tension on I'd go crazy on them when I hit the ground.

Lol. yeah, you made me go and watch them too. I knew that first piece was gonna leave a crater like that, even before the camera panned down.

The climber does look like he's gaining some valuble tree time though.

just trying to punish myself is more like I suppose. I searched the site but all I saw was a post how the guy wanted to move to Canada. I'll look again.
 
I just did a search for "Haycock Tree Climbers" (lol) and found three vids on you tube. I think two were the same pine tree.

he said they were putting in a deck right there and the HO was looking for carnage anyway. Real sick on the big poplar, taking out whale size pieces which ran real well. Nice spiders too. He made his own bollard.
We are going to look to schedule something for next week.
