advice

what about this range of leaflets?

does it really matter what a bar / blade is called as long as the operator can use the saw in a safe way and they can demonstrate safe working practices and do the job, i call it a bar....but hey you call them saddles.....its a harness

not that i want to come accross as nit picking

The advice is good. I wouldn't shoot the guy for one incorrect word, but I'm not Brian.

Had any good Haggis lately, Jamie?:)

Anyone professing to be an authority on a subject should at least know and use the proper terms when discussing it, shouldn't they?

I gotta agree with Rock on this one, too.

Sorry, but I quit reading when the writer called the saw bar a 'blade'. Someone who thinks a chainsaw has a 'blade' is not qualified to run one, and certainly not qualified to instruct others on safe chainsaw use.

yep if they cant call it a chain there no buisness preaching knowledge, but this seems the norm in this industry.

So wait a minute. This bulleten is warning us that the spinny thing, on the end of the saw without handles, can cause injury?
Holy crap, I'm glad I didn't ever put that part of the saw on my body parts when it was a spinning!
Thanks for the heads up!
