Has anyone exploded their chainsaw?

Some of the stuff I put my chainsaw through (MS210C) makes me really wonder if the chainsaw can handle it... I've gone on a log nonstop of over a minute riding the edge of bogging/stalling, exhaust right up against the log, throttle firmly wide open.

Never has the chainsaw shown any hiccup or sign of problems, but it does make me wonder if maybe I should use some measure of delicacy when doing chainsaw work. After such a torture I usually let it idle a bit and give it some revs to calm down before shutting it down or proceeding onto the next log.

All saws like to work,so just use good fuel and mix oil and keep on doing what you are doing. And keep the chain sharp, filters clean and that little saw will serve you well for a decade or more I reckon

If it is tuned right you should be fine. Making it work hard should not cause damage to the saw.

Give it good fuel with correct mix, keep air filter clean and make sure your chains are sharp. Any saw but especially with smaller saws, never force your saw with a dull chain for a prolonged period of time.

It all comes with experience. Know when something is not the way it should be. Once you know how it should cut use that as a gauge for when it is not cutting right. Give it a sharpen or change the chain when it is dull.

As to your question, no i have not exploded a chainsaw, but i have seen one explode right next to me. Was a Husky 3120 that was only days after being "expertly" rebuilt.

Carbs and everything are good; I do feel it, but i'm still amazed what the saws are capable of

Chainsaws are industrial two strokes and about the furthest thing from a high strung performance engine as you can get!
As long as they have oil in the mix work the guts out of em and forget about it..
If ya blowing up chainsaws it's time to quit buying em and take up ballet dancing lol

I have lost bearings, siezed pistons before. Nothing like exploded...
As a 2 cycle is running slower, it develops less power. Eventually it will just slip the clutch.
As was already mentioned, they like to rev high, and they oil much better at full RPM. Excessive bogging isn't really good.
Get something a little bigger than that 210 someday. Have fun.

I just haven't found the need thus far... the desire yes, but not the need that the cost and weight offset the benefits. Fantastic chainsaw.
