Looks to be an old sand cast model, best post it on the Poulan thread, some of the guys can tell you more about it.

Some of those Poulan guys will probably take all of it. I used to collect those old saws but I'm cutting back..

As I am new to all this, what kind of saw is that, and what is it used for? Looks kinda funny, but neat!

It's a bow saw, mostly used for firewood cutting I would think. I've never had a bow saw so really don't know much about them except that many manufacturers made them..
