My stepdad just picked this saw up from a pawn shop. He was told it is a ms311. But it has a metal clutch cover. There is no badging anywhere. But is listed with a 59cc engine. I cannot find a serial number decoder. Any help is appreciated. 295039764

Write an e-mail to Stihl customer service with the serial number. They will tell you the model and month of production. Took them (here in Germany) a couple of days for my Frankenstein 026/MS260 mix that I had bought on ebay.
