Plan to get this baby...

Thing is..the owner of the business says tractor needs a minimal 15gpm hydraulics. My tractor has 10gpm.

So I think the only option is a PTO hydraulic pump with a resoviar...but need help figuring out how to get it all together to work. The saw will have hoses but I need hoses from the pump to the resoviar, etc. I also need a hydraulic flow lever to activate the saw and get the saw to run. Looks like I need to get a 3pt resoviar for sure.

Anyone have a good idea how to get this set up to work?

Thanks.

You would need a hydro pump set up to run off your 540 pto at the required flow rate or above, reservoir tank , control valve, relief valve and the hoses not an inexpensive assembly. I would think by the time you got the saw plus everything else you be just shy of $4g.

A filter should be used for sure, in the return line after your valve. I think that if you can make a bigger tank work, it should be at least as big as the pump's GPM, might be bigger than that with a motor & pump. (vs just a pump & cyl set up) Motors create a lot of heat.
I want to build something similar for trail trimming, keep us up to date with your project.
