Help! what's my saw worth

I have a 084av wondering what it might be worth, wear and tear seem normal , chain break is missing 36" bar runs like a champ thanks!!!

With the ones that I have bought, I payed anywhere from 300 to 700. If your looking for top dollar then send it to eBay. Availability of some parts for the 084 make it a little less desirable.

If you want to sell it here, take the closed listings on Ebay and subtract about 25%. Then list it here and see if you get any nibbles. We pretty much frown on "bidding" on saws. Sellers put a price on their item and buyers either pay it, negotiate a lower price, or move on.

Local sells I have had for info in my area. Anywhere from $400 up stock to a like new looking one that got $800. Might have took $700 cant remember on that one.

Woods ported ones went for $800.

Had 5 of them. All 100% running cutting nothing wrong, missing nothing.

OP, have you cut wood with the saw to any extent? Like run a tank or two through it?

Yes , at least 2 full tanks, had to cut up a very large poplar that fell on my property after a bad storm once I was near the base I switched to the 84. This thing makes quick work of anything in its way

One tip I would throw out there is that it never hurts to spell "Stihl" correctly when posting on Craigslist so that your item shows up when folks are searching based on the manufacturer.
