A friend of mine was throwing out a 026 so picked it up to see if could fix it. I ended up with a new carb on it ran fine for a very short time but it was always a pian to start. Now the saw will star after 20 +pulls but it will only run with out the air fliter of or the fuel spray is to much and will bog it and die evan with the stock carb setting. I have already messed with the needles no help and i went back to the factory setting no good. And now it just sits any suggestions? I hope their is a fix it was nice for the little time it ran:(
Choke is fine
Dose not feel like it has a lot of commpression either

Hmmmm.... Make sure your choke inside the air filter isn't all tangled up..

It's likely that you have an air leak. The most common problem on the 026 is the flywheel side crank seal, foillowed by the impulse hose and fuel hose. What compresison does it have?
