My Dad just brought me a Husqvarna concrete saw to take a look at because it would not run. I pulled it over a couple times and it felt like it had no compression. When I took the head off it has a badly scored cylinder. It looks like it will need a piston, ring, cylinder head, and rod. Is this worth fixing? The saw is mine if I want it so the only cost would be for the parts.
My Dad has a Husqvarna chain saw that runs awesome and will cut through anything like butter. Is it possible to convert this concrete saw to a chain saw? All the mounts look the same except it has a belt drive pulley instead of a clutch/sprocket.
