Well it predates the 10 digit bar code. Looking for a nice bar for a remington pl4/pl5 running 72 type oregon chain for display. This looks like a good fit. I tried to match a few numbers up according to this chart and I got almost everything as a close match . Thanks again for taking a look for me, much appreciated.
I have a hunch that might be a D007 Pioneer style mount. The D007 bar tail/mount were virtually the same as the D009 bars but used different drive link counts.
Yea I think your right MM based on how much material is between the bar stud slot and the bar adjustment hole. Appreciate all the help and knowledge fellas.
Yeah guys who don't know better will swear there a Homelite mount because they do look similar and will mostly interchange. Like you noticed the holes are a bit smaller. Like I said the main difference is the drive link counts. For example a 24" D009 bar will use a 81DL chain like most American saws did then, while a D007 24" bar will use a 84DL chain. D007 bars also show up in .058 gauge a lot while the D009's do not.
Yea I was looking for a nos period correct bar for a shelf queen remington saw that takes D096. Gauge doesn't matter just pitch (3/8) It pains me to throw newly manufactured bars on 50-60 year old saws. Just doesn't look right
