I am trying to determine who made this chain. It has H3 on the drivers and three ovals for a logo. There wasn't any company info on the plastic bag that it came in. It is a .375" X .050" chain. I don't know how to post pictures or I would post some.
THANKS

THANKS
That is the stuff. It is being sold as "Oregon" and it is not Oregon from what the thread says. I got some from ebay and the guy has four more bags of "Oregon" chain up for auction.

Please post the Ebay sellers name so others don't get cheated.

Demand your money back and let him know the chain was not made by OREGON. Let Ebay know of the offense.

Please send me a PM with the actual advertisement that was posted on Ebay.

Mystery Chain

That chain is Tri Link, which actually comes from Lingbo chain factory in China. This is definetely not Oregon or Carlton, and there have been some issues with breakage here in the states. This is the same factory that make chain for Home Depot as of late last year.

Good to see Oregon Engineer is still around.

How's it going?

Why do you guys not participate in/at the Expo in Louisville?

Hi Fish - I try to keep an eye on the threads but life gets waaaaay to busy sometimes. Frank clued me in on this thread with a PM.

Louisville show - When the ladies started selling Christmas tree decorations and other junk and stuff- we pulled out as did many other manufacturers. The show organizers needed figure out that Louisville in the summer is HOT and HUMID so it better be worth the hassels. The organizers moved the show to October and combined it with another show, two good changes. I expect we will have a booth this year.

The Ebay seller - I'd like to advise this guy not to advertise the chain as OREGON, but Frank wants to get his check back from the seller before he passes on the sellers name.

THANKS for the information. My brother Terry Boyer said to say hello.

More Linbo chain advertised as OREGON for sale on Ebay

After seeing this thread I did some looking in ebay. Saw lots of Linbo chain being sold as unbranded. But one guy is advertising it as OREGON. The sale ends April 14 soooooo beware of this seller and the attached ad on ebay.

Happy ending

I had a little email conversation with the Ebay seller and he was kind enough to immediately remove the word OREGON from his ad and replaced it with (mfg. unknown). He went a step further by apologizing for the mistake. He said he had be told they were OREGON chains.

I let him know the chains were manufactured by TriLink in China and also that OREGON® brand chains are stamped with the word OREGON.

Thanks Frank for starting this thread!

Thanks

I would like to thank cuttinscott, oregon engineer, and the others that helped me resolve the mystery of "Who manufactured the chain on ebay". I doubt that the chain would have held up for long on my 460.
