Make sure the leg pads are not pushed all the way around front and do an initial "jewel" adjustment before climbing. I also had to get the right adjustment in the small straps in the back that hold the leg straps in place.

I used the same kind of webbing used for the attachment points on the saddle (it can be found on lanyards made for construction type harnesses). It is hollow with flat webbing inserted inside of it. I only use this rolling Dee attachment point when limb walking to keep my climbing line from twisting the saddle around on me.

Not sure if my mod will work on the Master 1. I have not seen or climbed in one.

I am assuming you have the dual leg strap version on the series 1, I love this saddle, great weight distrubution, keeps me very upright when loaded bla bla bla, but you right about the encroachment issue:eek: , I found that keeping the leg straps very tight, and the belt itself very tight makes things stay put so to speak, and you don't find yourself sreaming during that awkward moment!
On the sliding D thing, Tim's secondary attachment points are further apart (I believe), so you might no get the effect you are looking for, have you ever clipped into those points, line on one side, split tail on the other, it tends to not rip the saddle off you so much if you are doing alot of sideways limb walking

Hope that helps

I have one of the newest masters pro saddlel The new purple and green one with the leg straps. I only wore it about ten times now and had it almost a year. I simply tied a piece of T900 I believe it's 10mm to each side at the lowest point with a double fishersman and then whipped the ends down neat. It works and looks great. I clip in with a captive eye biner wich I have a clip my eye of my climbing line in there as well. I have a petzl william through the eye with my fritchion hitch and fixe on that.

I broke it out today and was climbing with it. I think I finally have it adjusted to a point where it is comfortable. I also stitched the legstrap pads permantly in one place so they cant roll out of position. I don't plan on having more children but it still hurts.

If anyone wants a barely used saddle at a great price let me know. I've been thinking of getting a comet to replace it.

I've tried on those Buckingham saddles 3-4 different times and I STILL do not like them. I just cannot see why they are worth 3X what I pay for my (more comfortable) KK saddle. I keep thinking I need a better (more expensive) saddle but cannot find one that I like as much as my $89 KK basic. I guess it's hard for me to change after over 15 years with the same style saddle. It's a lot lighter than the Buckingham's also.

My M2 cost me $205.00 from Sherrill with shipping. Sherrill has a sell on Master saddle now I think. :D

Brian, the first week I climbed with my M2 I was not sure if I had made a mistake. They guys at Sherrill had warned me that it was a different animal and would take time to learn how to climb with it. After the second week and a few 4+ hour removals I knew I had made the right choice. There are better saddles out there than the M2 but I like it. If you have figured out how to keep the butt strap from riding up and not squeezing your hips and not having to clip into the two separate Dees, let me know. ;) Butt strap saddles must be good or they would not sell so many.
