I have posted several pics on here before. Now it seems I get the red x when I preview the post. I use photobucket so it will downsize them. I think if I e-mail the pic to someone before posting it on here, thats when Im getting the x. I know as much about computers as Obama does about being president. (not much) Has this happened to anyone else? If anyone has any ideas, please explain it in a 2nd grade wording. Thanks

Can you load them thru your album? I used the paint program to resize. I'm running vista home premium.
If thats what you have open it in windows photo gallery then open paint, click on image and change the percentage to suit your needs.

I hope thats right. I just figured it out last night.

I also know jack diddly about the finer workings of this magic whirring box:confused:

I also have vista home premium, I will try that, watch your pm box if I run into problems. LOL :) Thanks

Yep same here, Ive done same as you describe & still get the red x
I used the link below with well written instructions but still fail.
Hope your thread helps you and myself.

The way my thread describes, you must have the file on your local hard drive, not a hosting site, and must be under 300kb. Give it another go. See if you can resize an image on your computer to 800x600. Then follow my thread again.

For instance, this image came from photobucket. All you got to do is mouse over the image, right click, copy image location. Then in the AS-site post window, click on the insert image icon, then paste the image location you just copied into that window, then click ok.

I tried your way, and it said the pic exceeded the allowed size. Thats why I started useing photobucket, it resizes automaticly. I can't find an easy and quick way to resize photos on this vista crap:bang:. I have posted many pics before, now I get the red x. I will keep trying, Thanks.

Ya you need to resize them. just need the right program. I use VSO image resizer its way easy with Vista.

Try it like how I described by copying the image location from your photobukcet account, or anywhere on the net for that matter.

Ok, This is crazy, I originally tried posting a pic in The Great Outdoors forum. Thats where I got the red x. I have been messing around with this now, since I made this thread. I tried posting the same pic the same way I have been doing it on THIS thread and it would appear when I hit preview post. I tried this 3 times back and forth from here to the Great outdoors forum. It would appear every time here, and the x would appear there.:dizzy: If someone has the time to try it I would like to know if its just me.

Hmm, not sure, never been to that site. Maybe try it without using the preview post button.
