Thank goodness.......someone asking about the Alpina. :)

It has a .404 spur drive. Full wrap, totally stock. Rebuilt carb, and tune up.

We are still tinkering, but I will have pics of the actual saw that will be given away soon.
I would have asked about it in the 1st page but didn't want to look like a vulture. LOL

Can it take a rim clutch? If by some freak of fate I get drawn, and it can be converted to 375, I'd like to have it for a mill saw.
Hey Haywire,,, Good to see ya... Is that the same 372 in your sig. that you had @ booker dogs PNW GTG that put a permanent smile on my face???? Oh not to worry about the Alpina After I Pick it I will sell it to ya!!!!!

Same one RR. Permanent resident barring theft. It does get heavier every year though. Don't know exactly how Ed arranged that detail. Wish he hadn't. :) Sad thing is I don't burn wood anymore since the divorce. Still hanging onto it though just in case.

Sell it to me will ya? LOL What a pal.

I can set the Alpina up with either a .404 spur, or a .375 spur. But I don't have an extra rim drive for it.

Ok, I was thinking about the possibility of an 8 or 9 tooth rim to take advantage of the hp on a shorter bar. The full wrap wouldn't be well suited for the mill anyway. Sorry RR, deal's off. LOL

LOL!!! I was just havin a bit of fun,,, but on the serious side,,, if you ever decide to part with the 372,,, I want first dibs!!!

I am the one who donated the Alpina, and Randy got it running properly. Randy actually built 2 saws out of three, and one is going back to me. They were both supposed to go back to me originally, but I decided to help out Terry and his wife. Of the parts that remain, there is a half wrap handlebar, so if Randy is willing to change it out, you can have the half wrap.

The saws take a 10mm slotted bar, same as the old Jonsered stuff. These bars are hard to come by, but it is pretty easy to mill out a slot on a 9.5 mm bar, and then make adjuster and oiler hole modifications as necessary. The Alpina 120 is not a super fast saw by any means, but just from the displacement it has lots of torque.

my shop looks like a used lawnmower parking lot right now. now that I am the only shop in town it has really slammed me with repair work, but that's a good thing. I need to let everyone know that the drawing will not be done until monday the 19th. my wife forgot to tell me that the date of my oldest daughters graduation is the 17th and then her babtism is on the 18th. so that weekend is booked with no chance of anything else happening.

Good to hear that business is good.

Glad to hear that you're swamped. Beats the alternative.
