It appears that HF has raised the price of their log splitters, well at least on the H/V 24 ton and 30 ton. The price for each one went up $100, 24 ton $1199, 30 ton $1399 ($80 less than the 30 ton with log lift). I am picking up the 22 ton Huskee on Friday, but I did think about the HF ones, now they have priced themselves out of the market (for me).

You can get the commercial 30 ton Iron and Oak delivered for $2039. This is a good machine-the rental companies around here use them. I've had mine for about a year and no problems, only lots of plit wood  .

I kinda figured that was coming. They were too cheap to begin with. I received a 2nd card today that I have to send back, to either accept a later delivery or they are happy to refund my money. They say they are back ordered, but I think they just did not want to sell them at that price. They can't cancel the deal now, but they can delay it and make me wait or hope I will cancel it.

I wouldn't touch a splitter sold by Harbor Freight. In fact, I've bought my last tool from them. Too much of it is just GARBAGE. Expensive at any price!

I think you'd be better off with an MTD, and MTD is junk.

I'm very happy with my Speeco (Tractor Supply), but that I&O at 2 grand delivered sounds like a very sweet deal.

I'm guessing that anything related to wood heating will increase in price. Like tomtrees said delivery prices will be a factor but supply and demand will be another factor. I look for a lot more people to start burning wood. That's bad for me because the free wood will be harder to get.

The best thing that Harbor Freight could do for its customers is to place a large trash can just outside the exit doors. That way, you can toss the piece of junk that you just bought directly into the trash at HF nas you walk out the door, rather than hauling it home and cluttering your own trash with it!

Ouch :( :( $2349 this year :dizzy: . But still free shipping over $100 dollars. Go to http://www.northwestpowertools.com/lawnandgarden/logsplitter/bhh3003h.htm. It's a nice machine, unfortunately the demand this year boosted the price $310 buckaroos. I paid $2039, free shipping, no tax-thats an additional 8 1/4 % saved in NY sales tax. I did opt for the lift gate service for $75 extra because I was receiving the equipment by myself. It was a 600-700pound package after all. It lists for $3035 on the I & O website. Manuals are available online for your perusal.
