Yeah, focus on rope climbing and moving around the canopy. Unless you are a Logger in the pacific northwest, spur climbing is like the smallest part of your job... hadn't meant to bring this up, but it sounds like you are spurring a bunch of trees you don't plan on removing... a total hack move and a violation of a good arborist's code of ethics. Never spur a tree that is not a removal.
my spur climbing is solely practice, having talked with arborists in the area, 90% of climbing here is removals, and spurs for 8hr/day

ive gotten really good at rope climbing, I should get a video at some point going over what ive learned along the way


mostly DRT, some SRT, been working on limb walks, something about walking on a tree limb just doesnt feel right lol

ive attached a photo of my first limbwalk on a buddy's zigzag and chicane setup, its an awesome setup
