Holly

I have to remove two good sized holly trees. approx 15 - 18 feet tall. I plan to attempt to save them for myself.

I thought I would soak the ground good and pull them up with the crane.

Digging is out of the question due to location.

Suggestions?

Hollies have ropy roots and are very hard to move.

.....and have a very poor survival rate. I had about 8 large plants that I got for free and I moved them carefully........and lost all 8 in the year after they were moved.

Glad to hear that I attempted to move one and thought it was me, now I know it was the plant
