Home Depot has there rental Makitas for sale

Home Depot in the northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin has there Makita rentals saws on sale now. I have picked up a few of these over the years hears your chance.
Go on line and check there used tools or rental tools for sale this is the time of the year they renew there saws.

They want $322 for the 6421 I guess that is. I personally wouldn't spend that much on a rental tool from the home depot. There's a reason why some tent and don't own and have NO clue how to run or use.

You are aloud to inspect the saws and all have been serviced after every rental
. The ones I have bought are all very nice saws no scored pistons or broken parts. Most look like very low hour saws.
I bought mine from low volume stores.

I have bought a few of these over the last couple of years. Couldn’t be happier. Look them over well, and they’ll fix anything that’s wrong before they give it to you.
I have a couple with the 79cc top end now, and one bone stock. They’ve got a lot of torque for the stock 64cc. Very, very smooth saws. Made me sell my Huskys and Stihls. Easy to work on too.

If I was looking for another saw, this would be something I'd look into. I suspect most people that rent, trim a few trees, buck a few logs, an hour or less per day rental. Somebody that is going to stack 5 cords of wood for winter is going to buy, not rent. Most members here can diagnose a saw with minimal inspection; starts, idles, revs, obvious signs of negligent use/abuse, and a slow pull on the cord is good enough to judge its compression.

I always liked the way these saws were designed the spikes and all. Just found them heavy when I handled them. But I guess the saw can't be any heavier then my 576xp
