This will be interesting. I don't have a pickup, but I've been looking for one to haul chip with.

Mine is a 30yd now but my first was a 14yd with removable upper half walls with a mesh tarp on top and fold down landscape sides. Started with a flatbed dump and added everything else. The 30yd box chains down onto this flatbed so I remove it and still side load logs on big jobs. It's made with angle and c channel for the frame, plywood walls with a mesh tarp on the roof. The mesh lets the chipper dust blow through to keep some off the chipper and operator

Just double up on the front wall and replace as needed. The tarp takes a beating but more from low hanging limbs on the road than the chipper. The roof is pretty high, right a 13'

We're rough on stuff. We have knocked three holes in my plywood chip box and it's looking ratty after less than a year. I have a flatbed dump bed on an F550. I'm thinking about building a dump bed with a cap on the top so I can chip into it. My main hold up is trying to store all my gear. I have a pole chainsaw that I like to carry with me. I built in a side box inside the chip bed that will hold it and some other stuff. It's difficult to find enough storage for all your stuff. I was thinking about making a tool box that would go over the cab.
