Selling a huge log splitter. This is a very well built unit. The head was removed and cylinder evaluated all was well the head was bead blasted and new grade 8 head bolts
installed. It can accommodate 20"-24" wood depending if you add or remove the block extension. The cylinder measures 6" x 24". The beam is in good shape and is a massive
10" x 8" try finding an offshore made splitter with those dimensions. I've weighed this log splitter on a truck scale, it was an impressive 1260 pounds!

New parts:

Kohler Carb rebuild kit
Kohler in-line fuel filter
Kohler airfilter and prefilter
Original metal fuel pump rebuild kit
All new fuel lines
New sediment bowl/fuel shut off valve
New paint job
New Champion spark plug
New Kohler points and condenser
New 2 Qts of 20w-40 engine oil


The engine is the legendary Kohler K-series K321, 14 HP. these engines have been known to have a 50 year service life in commercial usage. Plenty of parts and knowledge
about them available online as well as the original service manual all available online. This isnt the cheap use it up and throw it away engine from Harbor Freight.
Rebuild kits and all other parts are avaliable.

New Traveller ISO 46 hydraulic fluid
New Napa hydraulic filter and ball valve installed
Newer set of tires recently changed out
Wheels bearings cleaned and repacked with the good high temp red grease

Any vids? What kind of cycle time does that 6" cylinder manage?

The cycle time is roughly 28 seconds not sure of the pump is a single stage and Im unsure of GPM. Most of the time 12” is enough for most splits. I can make a vid for local interested parties.
