I made a suggestion on this forum that an average Joe can see gains with various two stroke pipes made for scooters and dirt bikes with a little back yard ingenuity. I was put down in short order that it's "like winning the lottery" or "my friend you are wrong" . Well I don't like blowing smoke or talking out my a$$ so I thought I would go ahead and do it and post some videos and let the people decide if these pipes work or not. According to my stopwatch both work and WELL. A 7 tenths gain with the unmodded goped pipe and 7-8 tenths faster with my goped pipe with a 125 expansion chamber installed in it. I built the header in about an hour and did a quick and dirty install with both pipes to prove my theory. I did.

First vid is stock, second is with unmodded goped pipe, and the third is with a Jared modified goped/ 82 YZ 125 pipe.

saw looks good Jared! once i learn to use a chisel grinder i might have to work on a race chain for ya.. i have some ideas in my head that i will have to experiment with and see if they do anything. sure a good thing i have a big pile of old chain to experiment with!

what kind of wood is that your cutting? stuff looks tough. you should see my work chains.. they can eat the wood but take some power to pull. full skip with the rakers down .045 round ground stihl RS. most of my cutting has been punky alder so i can get away with that setup. anything harder and the RPM drops too much on my 036 pro.

The wood is a plum tree I cut down last month. Decent wood is rare in these parts. The saw is just what I had laying around that runs decent. The rest of my macs are awaiting carb work , etc.
