Hello,
I was bored, so I figured I would show everyone a couple pictures.

I got the 2100 on ebay a few weeks ago and it is powder coated a silver/black color which I really like.

The second is a 990G, which a friend of mine restored for me, this saw has 9/16" chain, what a monster.

Very good looking saws!!! That 2100 is gorgeous!!! Of course it belongs on top of the dining room table. Do they run as good as they look??? LOL!

The 2100,caught my eye,when I saw it on e-bay,due to the fact I have one.If I recall correctly,it had a complete rebuild,with a custom set of reeds?Nice saw,real nice.

I thought my wife would blow a gasket when she saw the 2100 sitting on the kitchen floor. She never saw such a clean saw, (I think she almost liked it a little bit). I put it on the dining room table while she was gone of course. Yes both saws run good, but I don't use them often. I have plenty other old Homelites to run in their place. The 990G needs a chain, I bought some old Remington chain and it is .080" gauge, I need .063" gauge.

Yes, that is the one. I does have the reeds. I too own a few sets of these reeds. I remember calling Boyesen reeds about five years ago and got the pattern made for the 2100 reeds. I think the pattern and programming cost me a $100 bucks, and the reeds themselves were about $20 for a set of six(5 and 1). The Boyesen reed company is about 40 minutes away from my house. I really like the carbon fiber reed valves.

Yea buddy, the little woman, would get a tad bit testy,if I brought the saws in the house .I think I'll leave well enough ,alone . :)

Petal reeds

I have often wondered,if it was the reed design that gave the 2100,that amazing power.I honestly think that mine will outcut my Mac sp 125,and I know it will buddys 084.I also, always wondered why the design wasn't updated to antivib etc.,but, then again,it was at the end of the big reed valve era,and the era of big timber ,west coast logging.

I was supposed to have (2) 2100's coming for a rebuild but the seller decided to be a deadbeat crook and steal my money. I noticed the powder-coated 2100 but thought the pair of rough 2100's would be better. I guess I should have looked closer at the one you got Jonathan.

Dang Bill,I saw that pair also ,fact is,I got pics of them .Did you turn them into e-bay?I had a problem with a seller in Conn. After I imformed him of the concept of mail fraud,he saw it my way.

What size chain does the 2100 take I may have some new in the boxes, I will look this morn and let you know.

Johnathan, that set of Homies looks AMAZING! I love that 2100. Th 990G is pretty nice too, in fact, slap a new chain on it and it could pass for new.
