Anyone know if a HN-16-50SG chainsaw bar will fit or can be made to fit (by maybe minor filing or other mods) onto a Homelite EZ chainsaw?
The EZ is OEM at 3/8 standard pitch with a .050 gauge 59 DL chain but needs a bar and I found the above bar at a reasonable price is why I ask.

That part number is a GB part number and the bar is listed as for Homelite models
330, 350, 400, 410, 410SL, 450, 460, 540, 550, 650, 700, 750, 800, 850, 900, 922, 923, 925, 955, XL12, XL125, XL-AO, XL400, SUPER XL AUTO, 8800 AND SXL

I don't know about the EZ, but I had my own troubles replacing a sxl925 bar. What I discovered is that the common bars that are sold for it are not an exact fit. All the holes lined up fine and were the correct size, but the bar tail was just a bit narrower and because of that the chain rubbed on the oiler plates.

From the research I did, it seems that a 3002 pattern Stihl bar can be modified to fit, but it requires drilling new oiler and tensioner holes and putting bushings on the bar studs to bring them up to 14mm.

I ended up buying a NOS Homelite bar.

If the bar mount compares to Oregon K095 It will fit

Somehow I ended up with a bar that fit my EZ only it was for a .325 chain so I put it on the saw, made a new 325 chain for it and put a rim sprocket on it so I could go back to the 3/8 if I had to. The only "problem" I have is I only had a rim with 9 slots which is I guess for higher chain speed. I tried it on a pretty good size log and it did go through quickly but it's best to not push down on the saw, just let it cut with the saw's weight. The older saws have pretty good lugging power so I'm gonna leave it as is..

The only "stock" bars I've seen that are made to fit the EZ will also fit the Homelite 150.

I stumbled across this list of Homelite saws that the bars are same as the EZ (3/8 standard pitch)
and the link it came from
But appears for some reason the XL12 bars is not a direct fittament.

3/8" Pitch

130, 150, 250, 252, 290, 300, 340, 3850B, 415, 455, XL76, CS40, CS50, VI-123, VI-125, XL MINI, SUPER XL MINI, XL 100 SERIES, EZ

AUTO, SUPER EZ

No one makes the specific bar for the Super EZ and have not for years.

The modern Oregon K095 mount that is generally reguarded as a "small Husky mount" is what is now called as the Super EZ replacement.

The 16" K095 bar will require a 60DL chain. That can be a advantage for most people.

I had a bunch of NOS SEZ bars that i had no use for, they brought a decent amount and sold like hotcakes. I may have one or two left.

I stumbled across a new damaged package Oregon KO95 16 inch bar for $16 and free shipping after I seen Modifiedmark info. Most places are around $26-$35 for new 16 inch KO95's.
Listed as can use 59 or 60 DL chain.
Thanks

Anyone know the difference in a Oregon AO95 bar as compared to a Oregon KO95 bar as far as fitting onto a Homelite EZ?
