hello to everyone out there, i'm just new to this site. i have just aquired a homelite XL AUTOMATIC type #10003 does anyone know how many cc's it would be, and approx how old. thanks in advance

A customer left me a super XL that almost looks like new. It has great compression but no spark. I have not gone through it because I really don't need another saw that bad right now but could not bring myself to throw it out either because it looks so nice. Is there something specific that goes bad with ignition on these saws or could it just need to have the points cleaned up(if it has points)?

Dirty points would be the first thing to check.


I have NOS Ignition parts for that saw if you need them.
