I've got an old Homelite Super 240 Classic . Unsure of model year, tag is long since gone. It was left to me a few years ago and has been sitting in its case in the corner barn ever since. Broke her out today, torn her down on the workbench, cleaned her up, and got her fired for the first time in who knows how long. She fires and runs strong once warmed up. Put a brand new NOS Oregon chain on it. There are three other chains in the box that are all pretty well rocked out. Whoever previously owned/ran the saw had no idea what they were doing with a saw. Theres a file, guide, and tools in the box with it.
Got her tuned and running good and put her into the wood lot. Cuts great. Has a few quirks and could use a bit more TLC. Rear AV mount appears to be missing something and the shutoff switch doesn't work. Have to reengage the choke to kill it. Good working vintage saw though. Serves no purpose here amongst my production saws. No idea what it would even be worth honestly. Posted on marketplace for $40 but that's a stab in the dark. Feel free to make any offer. Id rather see it in the hands of an AS member than some rando from FB.
