About 2 month's ago I went to a Homelite dealer a couple of towns over from me to buy an air filter for my Homelite Super Wiz. The dealer told me there is no such saw as a Homelite Super Wiz without a number designation. He said it must be a Super Wiz 55, 66, 77, or 80.
After looking at Mike Acres site, as well as searching for obscure photo's and video's on the web, it seems every plain Homelite Super Wiz I see that has no number designation has a bow saw bar on it.
Unfortunately, Mike Acre's site does not have a picture for the plain Super Wiz... only has a pic for the model 66.
When I purchased this saw from the elderly man who bought it brand new, he said it came with a bow bar on it. He said he used the bow bar for 6 or 7 years but grew tired of the bow, so he purchased a Zip 24" bar and liked it so much that he promptly threw away the bow bar.
My question: Is it possible that all Homelite Super Wiz saws with no number designation were all exclusively bow saws directly from the factory?
