Vintage Saw Maniac
Hello everyone!
I'm a real greenhorn when it comes to chainsaws and diagnosis/repair. But I recently just started collecting them because my wife's grandfather gave me a really good looking Super XL Auto and it got me super hyped. Well I purchased a Super XL-925 off of eBay, so when I get it, the rear handle was cracked bad. So I decided to rebuild the rear handle of the saw as well as rebuild the carb and replace the crank seal on the flywheel side of the saw. As I was removing the flywheel I broke a wire to the ignition module. But when I was asking around the ignition system seems to be different than most.
I was hoping someone would recognize this type of ignition and enlighten me on it.
My point of this post is so I can ask questions when I come across them during this rebuild.
I included pictures below
