Who makes good (new) chainsaw engine pistons, and where can I find a new piston for my Super XL? Also...what do I need to do to the cylinder, just hone it? or try to find a new/used but in very good shape? I was modding my muffler, when I noticed that my piston is scored a bit.

Thanks

I have nice used SXL pistons and cylinders.

How much? do you reccomend new rings, or just run the ones that are on that piston? and finally, do you know where I can find a new set of gaskets for that engine?

Thanks

If/When I do replace the piston & cylinder I'd like to replace the cylinder base gasket, and the gaskets used to seal the intake/carb to the rest of the engine.

In the parts list it gives #'s for two gaskets, #6 carb gasket (59722)

And #1 spacer gasket (59274)

I have several 59274, and since their sitting right here next to the computer, all you have to do is say the word and Ill send one out on me.

The cyl base and carb gaskets I dont have.
