I always have a couple of oily rags laying around that I use to wipe the crud off of saws with. A little rubbing with one of those and that AF cover will look like new. Give it a shot and post the results.

If someone buys this and needs a bar I think I can help them out.

Yes the oily rag works great on a faded sxl cover. The cheap plastic soaks it right up and holds the oil for a good while.

This one is not as bad as yours, but shows what can be done to polish up the AF covers.
