MY QUESTION. this little saw got some yrs on it. not much use but still its not a modern saw. no chain break. but the little sucker cuts good as any top handle,, ive used . anything up to 8 -10 inches and it zips it off. this after i got the chain rite.
so please tell me what makes other saws better than this for climbing. id like my friends to be honest with me .. and ill do the same ,with u. ive owned several 020 avs a poulan xxv,and and echo 3000.
this one out cuts them all.granted i had to work on the chain a while,, to get it to cut rite. its seven lbs ,which is comparable to modern saws.what makes this one less than the others. is there a weak place. sure has held up for yrs of occasional use.help me out fellas ,, dont let me have to find out in the top of an oak,, im bringing dn piece by piece. thanks to anyone with input.

The XL2 has the smallest (1.6 cu in) motor HOMELITE used on a chainsaw. the weaknesses are the diaphragm oil pump and the bronzelite thrust bushing on the crankshaft. The bushings wear and the crank can then move sideways wearing the seals, which cause air leaks. The seals, bushings and the piston ring are easily replaced and the set only runs $22 delivered.

thanks bill . i hope u are sayin that,, if we are both well an such. i could send it to u and have u fix this problem,, when it happens. if so ,,ive actually got the climbing saw i prefer. hate to use saws i know i cant get fixed .i sell them,,as im interested in working saws. so that knowledge.. would put it in the lineup for sure. thanks so much . i dont know whether its the itty bitty chain or what14 i think. but it really out performs the cs 3000 . thank again.
