What is a mint Homelite ZIP worth? Maybe original bar and sprocket. Looks like new, Very little wear. Nice paint, nice decals. Has spark and compression, but will not start. I don't want to get any time in it, just want to move it on.

Old guy brought it in and wanted something light; now owns a 2150 Jonsered.

probably the best bet is to take at least one really nice digital pic and Ebay it. Probably get around $80.

That was a pretty popular saw in my area in the period around 1960...I see them a lot. I often pass them by, as I like the gear-drives a lot better. I think $50 would be about top dollar unless it was almost perfect.

Tony,

If you want to post a pic I might be interested in it if it is shelf quality. The only problem is Marshall county is a little ways away.

Thanks,
Bill

Tony,

Glad to here you got rid of it. I was mistaken in your location I thought you were in Marshall County. I took a look at a map last night and noticed that there is not a Marshall county so I assume you are near the town of Marshall. Today I ran across a Zip and a EZ. They need a little cleaning but at $2 for the pair I can clean them.

Bill

Tony luckily mine runs better than it looks. Unfortunately it needs a clutch. Anyone know where I can get one?

John I am just happy that the Zip quit drinking Blatz

"Unfortunately it needs a clutch. Anyone know where I can get one?"

Maybe Bill Wolcott (BillW?), or I've seen them on occasion on Ebay. I got a NOS Oregon clutch drum that way for my Zip.

FWIW...Bill Walcott lives in Marshall Co. KS
You need a clutch for the ZIP? Just the shoes? How many? How about the springs?

I dunno Bill, probably shoes and springs. It turns the chain but stops as soon as you put it to the wood. Clutch drum may be fine, I have not had it apart. Thanks for the interest
