I know alot of people out there that have made their own homemade woodstoves/wood boilers etc... Anybody that'd like to share pics/ideas would be appreciated. Here's a pic of my own homemade invention. A few years ago with the cost of rising fuel oil, I decided to supplement my oil with wood heat. I priced inserts/ other wood stoves yada yada yada. Either way, i was looking at like $1000 plus. I found this old woodstove and built the insert for it and it has worked beautifully. I've saved alot of money with this bugger. I've got 2 fireplaces, one upstairs, one downstairs, as shown below, we all know fireplaces aren't really efficient in a 3800sq ft. home, so I built this... So lets see some pics and hear some ideas eh?

Looks good! Is that 8 inch diameter pipe? I also like that stone fireplace.

8" stove pipe it is. That goes to the fireplace chimney, the fireplace chimney is 10X10 ceramic. The insert itself that holds the chimney is 18 guage Galvanized that I cut out/molded to fit the chimney/fireplace...
