nice selection of saws. I look forward to seeing your progress. One question...home site or homestead?

I'm familiar with this type of living. When I was a teen we lived in an old dilapidated temporary 60's mobile home, the ones that are roughly the size of todays mobile office trailer while we cleared our new land to build on. Also when I was around 4 or 5 my paternal grandmother remarried and she and her new husband lived in a tent for the better part of a year while they together built a salt box out of 3 old barns. Then in December...remember I live in the northeast...they moved into the great room of the new home because thats where the walk in fireplace was. No running water yet, no electricity at that point, just a big fireplace.

Good luck and keep us posted.:rockn:

Hi, thanks for all the welcomes. I just figured out how to put those pics inline.

And thanks for the complements on the saws. That makes an interesting feedback loop don't you think, since it was from reading on this forum that I determined what saws to buy. (Except for the 338, that one I got before finding this site, but my only criteria at the time was the lightest quality saw I could find).

I'm actually getting ready to move the trailer up to the home site next week, after pulling some stumps with some help from my neighbor and a rented excavator.

It certainly feels more like a homestead now, but by this time next year, the plan is to have a full scale cottage, with a roof, running water, elec-at-ricity, and all. I love living simply and close to the land, but a hot shower every now and then never hurt anyone too much. (Not that I would remember).:) :)

Great pics. All you need is a gutted buck hanging from a limb or a mess of fish on a smoker rack! Where's your dog? You gotta have a dog in a place like that!

Nice!

Great selection of saws and great homesite.

Suddenly, I fell like I'm in need of 2 more saws.

Jack, AKA "homeowner"

Jack, Welcome to AS. Beatutiful land you have there. What part of the country are you in?

Looks like either Northwest, or the Gulf area, not sure.
If it is the Northwest, it might be some "brokeback hubby" pics...............

Welcome!

Welcome aboard Jack, nice saw selection! Where abouts are you located? Since this forum prompted you to buy your saws...you already know that It's a great forum based on all the reading you've probably already done. Pretty soon you'll have another three saws sitting besides the ones that you already have! Once again welcome.

Those saws have not cut anything yet, are they going to?

Nope. These are strictly for display. I like to spread them out on my kitchen table, here's a couple more from the gallery.

By the way, this is arborsite right? How come no one asked or said anything about the trees in the photo? Here are a couple of pics from last summer of the same site:
